Channel Tunnel - Opened 25 Years Ago Today

The Channel Tunnel was officially opened, 25 years ago, on this day in 1994. It is a 50.45 kilometre rail tunnel linking Folkestone, Kent, in England, with Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, near Calais in northern France, beneath the English Channel at the Strait of Dover.
